Job Description
Otter Co-op is now hiring a Full-Time Credit Associate for our Administrative Office located in Langley, BC.

What You’ll Do


  • Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable.
  • Review credit applications and collateral and make recommendations.
  • Establish credit limits and determine repayment plans or schedules in accordance with authorized limits.
  • Plan, organize and evaluate the activities of the credit department.
  • Process financial transactions and adjustments; ensure accurate daily balancing.
  • Ensure collection of overdue or delinquent accounts.
  • Ensure credit policies and procedures are followed according to established guidelines and applicable legislation.
  • Administer corporate, commercial, and personal credit accounts.
  • Prepare credit and loan reports.
  • Prepare account reconciliations.
  • Process payments on account.
  • Advise members and guests on the commercial and personal financial services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are


You are looking for a career in Finance and:


  • Must be available Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Proficient accurate typing and data entry skills.
  • 2+ years in a high volume, fast paced office environment is preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills (including MS Office, Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to proving exemplary services to guests and members.
  • Proven entry level bookkeeping and accounting skills.
  • Able to prioritize and organize responsibilities and meet deadline with minimal supervision.
  • Self-starter and team player with a high level of self-discipline and initiative.
  • Must be committed to a SAFE working environment.
  • Able to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25-50 lbs.
  • Creative and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
