DESCRIPTION:
Robert Half is hiring now for a results-oriented and accomplished Senior Cloud Engineer to fulfill a role for our Client. The successful candidate will be responsible for the enterprise cloud platform architecture. Your main priority is to build and architect cloud solutions that are effective and efficient. You will provide knowledge and support the creation and upkeep of the enterprise cloud platform in your new role. You will work in collaboration with application owners within the various operational groups, enterprise architects, software suppliers, internal & external teams, and more. You will also support Infrastructure Architect and Cloud Analysts by providing guidance and recommendations to refine and maintain cloud platform and related monitoring and management tools. Our Client is based in Edmonton, AB. but this role is open to fully remote work concessions for eligible candidates.

Requirements
MUST HAVES:

• Understanding the fundamentals of cloud solution design and architecture
• Proficient oral and written communication abilities
• Knowledge of source code management programs
• Being able to conduct functional requirements analysis
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, such as engineering or computer science, is preferred.
• Understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Proficient understanding of Azure Cloud
• Prior experience using the infrastructure provisioning tool Terraform
• Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of significant, dynamic business IT systems
• Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and at least 5 years of enterprise cloud expertise, including 3 years of cloud architecture
• Understanding of Microsoft PowerShell or other comparable scripting languages
• Expertise with cloud-based productivity services, such as Microsoft 365
