The Senior Claims Adjuster Accident Benefits is responsible for delivering Northbridge's industry leading claims service. The successful candidate is responsible for providing efficient and prompt investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of complex accident benefits claims in accordance with established best practices. They work hard to provide support to our clients, assisting them in getting back to normal after an accident. They customize mental and physical treatment plans, financial reimbursements, and other settlements, while keeping an investigative mindset.

They are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our customers – this means emails and phone calls are answered promptly, keeping the customer experience top of mind. Working in a collaborative team, there is the opportunity for coaching, mentoring and development from our more experienced Adjusters to help grow both your Customer Service and Investigative skills.

You’re great at:

• Handling Accidne4t Benefits Claims from end to end by setting clear expectations and providing ongoing status updates throughout the claim’s lifecycle.
• Strong Understanding of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS).
• Creating and building strong relationships

You have:

• Post-secondary education and / or equivalent on the job experience.
• Experience with applying applicable case law/arbitration decisions and provincial legislation.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office.
• Minimum 5 years of Accident Benefits Claims adjusting experience.
• General working knowledge of claims settlement, policy wordings, insurance contracts, fraud investigations, serious losses, and coverage questions.
• Actively pursuing CIP/FCIP designation an asset.
• Experience in establishing and monitoring litigation disposition plans.
