Job Description

A senior bookkeeper is an experienced professional responsible for managing and overseeing the financial records and transactions of a company or organization. They typically have advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices and play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial information.

What you’ll be doing:


  • Maintaining general ledger accounts, recording financial transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of the company's financial records.
  • Managing the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections.
  • Preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis or as required by management or regulatory bodies.
  • Establishing and maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure that the company's financial records match the bank statements.



What you’ll need:



  • Minimum 5 years previous bookkeeping experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the use of relevant computerized and cloud-based financial accounting systems.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Current and valid Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of payroll and benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple systems and financial business processes.
  • Independent, highly motivated and a self-starter.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
