Security Operator Jobs

Airswift is working with one of our oil and gas clients to find a Security Dispatcher to join their team on a 1-year contract in Calgary. This person will work on a 4 on/4 off rotation. Responsibilities: Maintain Corporate Security Policies and Procedures Monitoring of Cenovus systems including video management, alarms, access control, GPS devices, emergency line, after-hours switchboard, dispatch and reporting system Initiate emergency response including dispatch of service provider guard force and Incident Command activation Alarm management Provide emergency communication and situational awareness to first responders, management, incident commanders, affected staff and teams Identification of criminal activity, breaches, potential risks/safety hazards Timely and accurate response to 911 monitoring system Efficiently manage service requests with a focus on customer service Liaise with property manager guard force(s), emergency services personnel Conduct preliminary investigations relating to applicable Policies and Practices Coordinate and dispatch Safe Walk/Ride Provide guidance to service provider guard force Effectively manage shift to ensure patrols, escorts, audits and other initiatives are delivered on time and in a professional manner Qualifications: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada Standard First Aid with AED Experience delivering emergency management, security or dispatch services. Experience working with integrated security systems Technical knowledge with physical security systems, including video management, access control and alarm monitoring APCO training in the following courses would be of benefit; Public Safety Tele-Communicator Course (PST), Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD), Fire Service Communications, ICS 200 Solid team member with the ability to work independently with a multitude of stakeholders Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, Provincial Statutes, security legislation, fire & life safety regulation
