As a member of the operations team, the Investigator/Support will participate in all phases of the life cycle of a file or project. Under the direction of the Regional Manager and the program/project managers, The employee is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that municipal operations are maintained. The employee is a principal member of the organization charged with administrative, data entry and reception functions. The employee will maintain relationships and communications with all employees at all levels, internal and external to the company.


The Investigator/Support responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


  • Assist with reception duties (greet and assisting visitors, answering phone calls, directing phone calls and responding to inquiries) as required.
  • Assisting the operations team (investigators) (answering questions, requesting additional information, etc.)
  • Assist with accounting process on files as required
  • Maintain confidential client records and files (organizing, and maintain cabinets)
  • Editing videos, producing DVD’s, testing new video software
  • Assist with special projects as requested
  • Perform other duties as requested by manager.
  • Open new files and re-opening of closed files for the division,
  • Type and edit reports, verbal and written transcription
  • Providing day to day assistance to the Operations team (includes a variety of daily duties)
  • Scanning, emailing, recording and filing all daily materials and documents
  • Preparing reports and packages to be sent out.


Competencies


  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills; ability to write detailed, comprehensive reports.
  • Required to pass Reliability Clearance Status.
  • An analytical thinker with advanced problem solving skills. Ability to approach a problem from a different perspective and explore all angles.
  • High proficiency with standard computer programs and use of online data resources (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, MS Project Management, Visio, etc.)
  • Complete discretion and comfortable handling sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting issues in an effective manner.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Sitting at and working in front of a computer.


To Qualify As An Investigator, You Must Have


  • Access to an appropriate vehicle
  • A valid Alberta Private Investigators License
  • Ability to perform physical activities and sit for extended periods of time
  • Full driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
