To ensure effective implementation of Risk management procedures, we are looking for a Risk Manager to join us to work on a major infrastructure programme.


Your key responsibilities will be:  

  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative risk analysis and articulate results to project managers. 
  • Accountability for the effective implementation of the Risk Management Procedures with the project Delivery Partner.
  • Aligning risk management activities to support the commercial model and contract administration requirements.
  • Management, oversight and assurance of the Delivery Partners implementation of Risk Management Procedures. 
  • Concise analysis of risk information and data to inform project leaders.
  • Developing a significant awareness of programme level risks and deputising for the Risk Management Lead when required.
  • Interfacing to provide risk management information to support other project controls processes such as: change management, schedule control, cost forecasting and budgeting.
  • Contributing to the development of best practice Risk Management activities.

On top of that, you’ll have: 

  • Recent experience in being able to lead the process for identifying risks (through facilitation of regular risk workshops), assess risks and implement appropriate risk responses, reviewing their overall effectiveness. 
  • Experience in integrating risk with other project controls functions, such as planning and cost control, to ensure alignment in the reported position and baselines. 
  • Value management and engineering methods i.e., six sigma (desirable)
  • The ability to succinctly explain the output of quantitative schedule and cost risk outputs to a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that risk drivers are understood.
  • Ability to ask insightful questions and to apply analytical thinking to identify options and to draw meaningful information to support the effective management of risks
  • Experience with Risk Management Databases. LTC uses: Pallisade @Risk, Safran and Primavera Risk Analysis. (desirable – appropriate training will be provided) 
  • Experience in reviewing risk data using Power BI. (PowerBI skills not required)
  • Demonstrable experience in carrying out cost and schedule Monte Carlo simulation models with the use of analysis tools (e.g., Safran, Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk).
  • Knowledge of Construction and Engineering methods and techniques.
  • A professional qualification in risk management (e.g. MoR) is desirable.
  • Proven experience of working successfully at senior levels within projects supporting a variety of stakeholders
  • Significant experience of operating in the Delivery phase of a Major UK Infrastructure Programme.
