Job Description
Tired of living to work? Work to LIVE in beautiful Kemptville at our Retirement Home, Bayfield Manor! The urban hub of Kemptville is an eclectic mix of small-town charm and big city convenience, with plenty of natural beauty and heritage architecture to admire.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Retirement Home
  • Plan, implement and facilitate community outreach initiatives to maintain Community links and services for Residents
  • Must have understanding of the Retirement Home Regulatory Authority standards
  • To be familiar with Unionized environments and working within Collective Agreements
  • Facilitating partnership with families, staff and other agencies. Understanding the importance of Customer Service with these partners and have the ability to recognize potential challenges and resolve in a productive and professional manner.
  • Contribute to budget planning, monitor overall budget and be accountable to financial standing of the home in collaboration with the Regional Director
  • To be a positive and energetic representative for the home and market for potential new Residents within the local area
  • Must have a good understanding of Retirement Living and the senior population
  • Work closely with Wellness Staff, the Leadership Team and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide supportive care for Retirement Residents
  • Establish and maintain relationships with various community stakeholders by attending community meetings and events
  • To bring a fresh innovative perspective on Resident Programming and Marketing Strategies
  • Identifying and implementing action plans to assist in resolving complaints and concerns.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Marketing and sales experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of the Retirement Home Regulatory Authority legislation is required
  • Resident advocate – focused attitude, with high emphasis on building and maintaining relationships with residents, families, staff and stakeholders.
  • Superb organizational, time management and multi- tasking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a Retirement setting preferred
