Retail Store Manager

Wuxly is searching for a proactive and sales-focused Retail Store Manager that will manage all logistical, operational, sales and customer service initiatives related to Wuxly’s West Toronto Flagship or Oakville Pop-Up Retail locations. The Retail Store Manager is responsible for ensuring Wuxly’s #LiveWarm mantra comes through to everyone that steps into our store space – with special focus on, and passions for educating others about the Wuxly story, Wuxly’s product features and benefits, and the Wuxly brand in general.
This role is designed for someone eager to lead new projects, as well as leading sales efforts and driving business within the retail environment.
This position is an hourly contract position (to March 2024) with possibility to extend beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the scheduling of all inventories and cycle counts, inventory control and other functions
- Oversee Merchandising direction - ensuring regular updates and rotation
- Oversee corporate directives in regard to inventories and cycle counts; achieving goals and deadlines
- Provide a 360 degree luxury customer experience, anticipate the needs of clients, find solutions on the spot, and go above and beyond to satisfy customers
- Provide leadership and share the company vision to motivate and retain staff
- Additional responsibilities as the role and the candidate evolve
- Propose new ideas to optimize costs
- Collaborate with Wuxly’s marketing team to drive initiatives to reach internal sales and customer service goals
- Lead team with health and safety procedures and protocols
- Take ownership of the commercial success of Wuxly’s flagship store
- Communicate company initiatives and directives to staff through regular meetings
- Support and lead front line sales, as required
- Ensure that training initiatives are effectively implemented in the retail space
- Act as a Wuxly Brand Ambassador in all interactions with clients and colleagues, adopt #livewarm approach
- Ensure daily reports are submitted with detail and accuracy
- Ensure all associates are trained in all operational policies and procedures, and are kept up to date as required
- Assist with the reconciliation process for inventories and cycle counts as needed
- Be knowledgeable of the local market and business environment trends to include competitors’ business activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in all areas of risk management, physical security, employee issues, inventory management, inter-store communication and loss prevention audits
Profile:
- Project management experience, an asset
- Natural sales approach - eagerness to meet and engage others
- Active Drivers license required with clean driving record
- Strong retail experience – ideally in a multi-store environment
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work retail hours including weekends and when necessary
- Strong computer literacy
- Bilingual (English/ French) an asset
- Exceptional problem solving skills; out-of-the-box thinker
- Humble, Hungry, Hardworking
- High level of accountability
- Strong leadership skills

- Proficient in English, reading, writing and speaking
