Job Description
Location: 512 Bank Street Ottawa, ON K2P 1Z6


Store opening date: July 31st, 2023


Hours: Monday to Friday 7:45-15:45


Employment: Full-time, Permanent


Customer Service Orientation


  • Cash reconciliation including deposits, key control Communication
  • Proven track record of personal responsibility and accountability- including attendance, uniform compliance and attention to detail
  • Compliance to all Corporate Polices and Procedures (including uniforms)
  • Written communication; and listening skills
  • Being on time/attendance
  • Assisting customers with shipping details and account challenges
  • Working with Head Office, local management, Drivers, warehousing staff, account managers and other Corporate partners to ensure excellence in customer service Relationship Building
  • Handling customer complaints and inquiries Problem Solving
  • Working to resolve problem shipments
  • Representing the Purolator Values to Customers and key partners and, other duties as assigned by management Key Areas of Focus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adhering to all Safety Standards
  • 3-12 Months Retail Experience preferred
  • Customer service orientation
  • Excellent in relationship building
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Up-selling and cross selling Corporate Products and Services

  • Ability to lift 70lbs./stand for 3 hour intervals
  • Building a positive relationship with key contacts – Vendors, building tenants, etc. Technology
  • Professional communication skills: oral communication (telephone and in person);
  • Loading, scanning, logging and calling resolution freight
  • 3-12 Months Customer Service Experience preferred
  • Building a positive relationship with customers
  • Serving our customers in the most efficient and courteous manner on the telephone and in person
  • Experience and adaptation to using technology
  • Listening to customers and key partners
  • Working to resolve equipment and technology challenges
  • Experience working in a team environment and independently an asset
  • Communicating in a positive manner with Head Office, local management, Drivers, warehousing staff, account managers and other Corporate partners orally and in writing
  • Experience working in an environment with safety standards an asset
  • 3-12 Months using technology/ POS system Experience preferred
