Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a high-growth venture backed by a significant Environmental Consultancy?

Want to join an experienced team to shape strategic direction and growth, with the investment and infrastructure to execute successfully?

Are you a leader in Regulatory Approvals and Permitting who thrives when you’re leading diverse projects that span diverse industries including mining, renewables, energy and infrastructure?

EMM Consulting is a leading employee-owned environmental and planning consultancy with ambitious plans to expand our services here in Canada. We have a reputation for delivering an exceptional quality of work with industry leaders, highly specialized teams and values that keep us true to our purpose of creating opportunities.

We’re excited about the response to our Canadian growth plan and the team we’re building. As a critical next step to build for long term success, we’re looking for a leader in Regulatory Approvals and Permitting with a strong desire to shape the strategic direction of the business. You’ll join a talented and highly motivated team to play a crucial role in the development of the business and building a culture that inspires and unites people. As an employee-owned business, we’re ideally looking for someone seeking a long term move with potential for an equity pathway.

Here’s what you can expect in your new role with EMM:

As a key part of EMM’s team in Canada, you’ll work together to shape the priorities and strategic direction, however, here’s how you’ll leverage your deep expertise, entrepreneurial leadership abilities and passion:

  • The support you need to deliver exceptional quality with specialist teams across EMM and leaders who are truly present and excited to help you deliver
  • Work flexibly and collaborate with EMM teams in Canada and Australia.
  • Serving as the technical expert in the delivery of regulatory projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Developing business opportunities in environmental assessment, approvals, and permitting within Canada, with a specific focus on the Mining and Energy sectors.
  • The autonomy, flexibility and support you need to balance all aspects of your life
  • Mentoring and developing EMM team members, fostering their consulting and technical capabilities.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with clients and regulators at the Provincial and Federal levels
  • Providing industry-wide thought leadership and innovative, sustainable solutions to address client and environmental challenges

Here’s what you’ll bring to have impact:

  • Flexibility to work remotely and collaborate with global teams
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and develop new opportunities, ideally across the Mining and Energy sectors
  • Proven experience and expertise in regulatory affairs and environmental permitting within the Canadian context
  • A track record of delivering high-quality work and achieving project objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and regulators
  • Strong mentoring and leadership skills, with a passion for developing others

Our goal is to build a team of EMMers that looks like the world around us — and who want EMMers to stay and grow. As part of our efforts to build an EMM for everyone, we embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.

We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.

  • Unsolicited resumes from recruitment consultants will not be accepted for this position
  • Please note we can only consider applicants with a legal right to work in Canada
