Job Description


  • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
  • Perform general office duties
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding rates, special packages and general information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure interdepartmental communication and cooperation in the interest of greater customer satisfaction
  • Present expense statements to departing customers and receive payment
  • Create reservations by telephone, central/global reservations, correspondence and in person
  • Responsible for cash float
  • Know information about the hotel and surrounding area
  • Work shifts according to company levels
  • Provide courteous and efficient telephone services, including taking accurate messages
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
  • All front desk agents will be trained and expected to work in other front desk areas as required.
  • Responsible for guest check-in and check-out


Qualifications


  • Ability to stand and walk constantly throughout shift
  • Must be self-motivated and well-organized
  • Professional appearance and manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are a must
  • Previous front desk/customer service experience an asset
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • IQWARE and MS Office experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
  • Knowledge of a second language is an asset
