- Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives
- Perform any other duties as assigned
- Perform general office duties
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding rates, special packages and general information accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure interdepartmental communication and cooperation in the interest of greater customer satisfaction
- Present expense statements to departing customers and receive payment
- Create reservations by telephone, central/global reservations, correspondence and in person
- Responsible for cash float
- Know information about the hotel and surrounding area
- Work shifts according to company levels
- Provide courteous and efficient telephone services, including taking accurate messages
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment and actively participate in health and safety initiatives
- All front desk agents will be trained and expected to work in other front desk areas as required.
- Responsible for guest check-in and check-out
- Ability to stand and walk constantly throughout shift
- Must be self-motivated and well-organized
- Professional appearance and manner
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are a must
- Previous front desk/customer service experience an asset
- Demonstrates initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision
- IQWARE and MS Office experience preferred
- Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure
- Knowledge of a second language is an asset
