PROFILE SUMMARY

The Quality Control Inspector ensures that quality assurance is in accordance with expectations set out in the Quality Manual, Quality Procedures and Work Instructions and is equal to the requirements in the customer order or customer contract or the ISO9001:2015 & AS9100:D Standards. The Quality Control Inspector provides leadership in quality issues.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

• Prepares inspection records required in advance so that inspections can be processed in a timely and efficient manner
• Verifies & validates processes and product conformance via Inspection Receiving, First Offs, Final Inspection, Process & Dock audits, testing.
• Ensures corporate assets and property are actively protected and safeguarded and liabilities and errors are minimized.
• Elaborates & Monitor Process Capability. PpK & Cpk
• Maintains inspection/test equipment and ensures that it is accurate and calibrated to stated procedures
• Ensures that personnel carry out inspections and testing according to stated procedures
• Other duties as directed by Quality Control Lead.
• Ensures that personnel understand inspection procedures and are fully qualified to perform these inspections
• Collects, inspects, and maintains all quality records & statistical data for accuracy
• Elaborates Quality Plans, Control Plans, and participates in the preparation of Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions for the department and the company
• Submits recommended solutions to Quality problems and Manufacturing issues
• Assists the Quality Control Lead in delivering training to employees
• Verify correction of nonconforming items. Controls further processing of nonconforming items until the deficiency or unsatisfactory conditions have been resolved
• Identifies and records non-conformances, participates in the multidisciplinary GNs team to identify Root Cause, Corrective & Preventive Actions

In addition to GN Corporations Inc. corporate requirements and recommended industry practices, being knowledgeable in the following regulatory and international standards requirements will be an added asset:

1. AS9100D (Aerospace)
2. ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), I
3. ISO 45001:2018 (Health & Safety),
4. ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental)
5. Controlled Goods Program

• Industry Standards and Regulations – Being familiar with all relevant industry standards, recommended practices, and regulations. Monitoring self-compliance with company, industry and government requirements as well as promoting their acceptance in all aspects of GN’s business-related activities.
• RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Occupational Health and Safety – Understanding and applying the GN Corporations Inc. Health and Safety policy as well as being responsible for his/her own health and safety at work, to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of others through any act or omission.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience as Quality Control Inspector in a manufacturing environment
• CMM beginner programming experience is a must: Calypso, Mcosmos.
• Engineering designation preferred
• CMM operation proficiency is mandatory.
• Master proficiency reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, GD&T specifications and measuring features & characteristics in physical components to verify & validate its conformance by using metrology instruments (durometers, bore/profile/high/roughness, angle/radius gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, Gage maker, mic track, optical-laser scanning probing arms, etc.)
• Proficient in both measuring units’ systems: Imperial & International System of Units (SI)
• Master proficiency measuring element by element API Tubing & Casing (T&C) and Rotary Shouldered Connections (RSC) threads.
• Education: Bachelor of Engineering degree (4+ years)
• Competency using Statistical Tools to predict outcome and improve process is another must have.
