Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python and SQL Developer to join our technology team in a dynamic startup environment. As a Python and SQL Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data solutions for our clients. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver high-quality solutions that leverage Python, SQL, and cloud platforms like AWS. Job Responsibilities:

• Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency on the cloud infrastructure.
• Perform data extraction and integration: Extract data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files. Transform and integrate data from multiple sources to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Ensure data quality and implement data validation and cleansing techniques to maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of databases and applications to meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate algorithms into data pipelines and applications.
• Utilize cloud platforms to provision scalable storage and configure data processing services.
• Utilize advanced Python programming (e.g. Rust) and SQL skills to manipulate and analyze large datasets efficiently.
• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements and develop effective data analysis solutions.
• Data modeling and database design: Design and optimize database schemas and data models to support efficient data analysis and reporting. Understand the data requirements and create appropriate table structures, indexes, and constraints.
• Implement data analysis algorithms and techniques: Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques to extract insights from data. Implement algorithms for predictive modeling, clustering, classification, or other relevant data analysis tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Expertise in SQL query optimization and experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with tasks such as provisioning and managing cloud resources, databases, and storage services.
• 5+ years of experience as a Python developer with strong proficiency in Python programming and experience with Python libraries for data analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).

Nice to have:

• Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques, algorithms, and libraries
• Experience with Big Data platforms like Snowflake, Redshift, Spark, etc.
