Our client is one of North America’s leading Industrial Distribution companies with a particular focus in the energy sectors.

:

• Establishes/proposes Min/Max on stocking items based on historic sales and marketing initiatives every 60 days.
• Selects and evaluates prospective vendors to determine qualifications and suitability.
• Conformance to all relevant ISO quality standards
• Included in the overall sourcing strategies and plans.
• Vendor and spend analysis.
• Manages direct reports in the purchasing team to prevent stockouts as per Min/Max, completing reporting, vendor follow ups, Vendor relationship management, Purchase order updates and on time receipts/delivery and other projects.
• Develops appropriate performance scorecards.
• Developing sourcing strategies.
• Develops and maintains category spend profiles/intelligence, internal and external stakeholder registers, and vendor risk assessments.
• Conducts competitive bidding (RFI,RFP,RFQ), vendor negotiations, contracts management.
• Identifies same/similar materials/goods commodities and performs market research required for
• Conformance to all CPP standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
• Supports the organization with inventory spend management and risk management strategies.
• Acts as a resource to the organization for supply chain best practices, benchmarking, reporting,
• Works as a Single point of contact for the purchasing department
• Leads purchasing and sourcing initiatives, leveraging opportunities by seeking input from cross functional stakeholders as to their respective requirements, ensuring those requirements are
• Develops new vendors as CPP enters new product lines, markets, and segments.
• Intake of procurement requests from the president, management and sales team, sourcing vendors, contract development & creation, and purchase order management.

Qualification

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• System acumen, Sage knowledge an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in administration, logistics, supply chain or related field.
• Proven experience in sourcing processes.
• Oil and Gas experience will be considered an asset.
• A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
• Negotiation skills are required the successful candidate will use these skills to understand price points, volume discounts, and vendor offering to negotiate effectively.
• Sound time-management and organizational skills.
• Experience with international sourcing 5+ years, experience with Indian and Chinese vendors an asset
• Strong problem-solving skills

Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary between $70-80K commensurate upon experience, bonus and full company benefits.
