ThePurchaserisaccountable for the timely, cost-effective and reliable procurement activities of equipment, supplies and services for our Company.

Key Accountabilities:

· Develop and implement profitable purchasing strategies and deliver effective procurement solutions to new customer tenders, project delivery teams and the business as a whole

· Manage daily purchasing activities including preparing procurement documents – letters, requisitions, request for quote packages, purchase orders

· Provide a seamless interface between supplier and on-site delivery of general and specialized equipment, materials, supplies and services

· Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers to build a solid and reliable supply chain for production supply volumes

· Monitor and anticipate pricing, market and availability trends, adjusting purchasing as required

· Identify supply chain risks/opportunities and develop and recommend options to mitigate risk/maximize reward for the Company

· Source, analyze, compare, negotiate, establish, monitor and enforce contracts, prices and timelines with suppliers for equipment, material and supplies across multiple projects and for standard items

Key Competencies/Requirements:

· Highly motivated, positive leader with a proactive approach

· Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a diplomatic approach

· Advanced written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels

· Aptitude for accurately working with numbers

· Keen eye for detail and accuracy, advanced analytical and decision making abilities

· Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and relationship building skills

· Post secondary education in Business Administration or related field

· CPM/CPIM certification is considered an asset

· 3 years experience in a purchasing role

· Experience purchasing raw materials in a millwork, construction or manufacturing industry would be considered an asset
