Project Quality Manager

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Setup Phase

• Ensure that the client quality requirements have been received, understood, and incorporated in the applicable project document
• Develop an Engagement Quality Management Plan
• Establish a framework for the quality management of the project

Execution and Control Phase

• Interface with the client, management team, third parties and Authorized Inspection Authority (AIA) on QA/QC activities and concerns
• Provide monthly reports on the quality KPIs to the Engagement Manager and as part of any required client reports
• Develop and maintain a Project Quality Management System (QMS), procedures and register that are relevant to the project
• Monitor and trend nonconformities and quality incidents
• Support and interface with the Site Quality Manager or Coordinator, as required, in analyzing site quality performance data and trends
• Provide support and input to the Global Site Quality Manager in establishing the site
• Monitor project quality work by conducting reviews, audits, assessments, and observations
• Interface with engineering, design and construction management to support the resolution of Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and incidents
• Assist with facilitating and coordinating the training of engagement personnel in Hatch engagement and client project procedures
• Quality Management Plan and processes and provide input into the Construction Execution Plan (CEP) for site activities
• Provide quality input (metrics, NCRs, customer complaints, etc.) to the engagement monthly performance reviews
• Input into the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and/or work plan
• Conduct or assist with project process audits together with the Lead Auditor

Closeout and Improvement Phase

• Identify and record progressive learnings in the QMS database
• Identify and record and share with the Hatch Global Quality team opportunities for continuous improvement, include benchmarking
• Confirm the engagement quality requirements have been satisfied and documented, recorded and shared with the Global Quality team

Qualifications And Experience

• At least five years’ experience in the role of quality manager on major EPCM projects
• Governance and quality assurance experience with respect to project compliance and adherence to process, systems, procedures and policies
• Knowledge of national and international codes, standards and specifications related to design, engineering and construction projects
• Knowledge of quality assurance across the project lifecycle, including prefeasibility, design, execution to handover

Internal Auditor

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) investigations and assessments, as required
• Assist in development of audit and assessment processes, procedures, guidelines or checklists, standards, forms, and templates
• Identify areas for continuous improvement opportunities
• Coordinate project specific discipline self-assessments
• Prepare monthly corrective actions, nonconformances and summary reports
• Analyze data on quality related issues and establish quality auditing and assessment performance and trend reporting requirements
• Assist with establishment of regional audit and assessment schedules in consultation with the Lead Auditor and focusing on risk-based approach to audit sampling
• Identify and initiate corrective actions and monitor progress for timely closeout
• Participate in planning, preparation and conducting of internal audits and assessments with allocated audit teams
• Participate in as requested audits and investigations on critical areas of concerns that are identified during the project lifecycle

Skills And Experience

• Registered and certified as an ISO 9001:2015 lead auditor at a recognized institution
• A qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or project management is preferred
• Experience within an EPCM and business management environment
• At minimum of three years’ experience in quality management, including Quality Management System (QMS) implementation and internal auditing in a quality, consulting or engineering, project management and/or manufacturing and site environment
