Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a Winnipeg-based company to hire a Project Engineer. Reporting directly to the Engineering group, you will be responsible for project-based work.
The Role:

• Define project tasks and responsibilities for new projects.
• Maintains the integrity of the departmental quality requirements and continuous improvement activities through effective day-to-day implementation of procedures.
• Responsible for outlining timelines on new projects and ensuring projects remain on track.
• Coordinate prototyping and testing of new project products in conjunction with the customer.
• Participates in cross-functional team activities and meetings as required and assigned.
• Source new vendors and new components and/or materials applicable to the design of new products.
• Participates in cross-functional team activities and meetings as required and assigned.
• Responsible for completing quotes for new products on a timely basis.
• Troubleshoots production line issues and quality issues as required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong computer skills, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to read blue prints
• Proficient or ability to learn Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Required 1-5years’ experience in manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail is a must.
• Proficient in CAD and/or Solid Works
• Background in quoting, estimating, and design work with experience putting together BOMs
• Post-secondary required in Mechanical Engineering field.
