Description

Reporting to the Director of Projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of the Lynn Lake Gold Project. This project is currently in the Engineering Phase of Development, with construction expected to commence in 2024. The engineering, procurement and construction scope covers all aspects of mining, ore processing, tailings management, water management and on and off-site infrastructure.

The Project Engineer will help oversee and coordinate teams comprised of consultants, contractors and discipline engineers through detailed engineering and construction and help coordinate and oversee site activities through to completion.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Other duties as required.
• Manage/document engineering changes;
• Provide technical support and advice for engineering, procurement and construction activities for all aspects of mining, ore processing, tailings management, water management, and on and off-site facilities;
• Review all project-related studies, reports and engineering documentation;
• Help ensure project is fit for purpose and delivered on time and on budget; and
• Ensure corporate and site Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures are followed;
• Assist with the selection and procurement of equipment and facilities;
• Ensure document control integrity;
• Coordinate meetings, site activities, and resources including consultants, contractors and employees;

Job Requirements:

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project or/and Primaveras-6 scheduling software
• Ability to read, review and understand engineering and construction drawings
• 5-10 years combined Project management and mining operations experience
• BSc in Mining, Electrical, Civil, Structural, Process or Mechanical Engineering
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and the Construction Process

Work Schedule

• Work from home and consultants offices until construction starts in 2024or 2025 then possibly a 2:2 rotation on site in Lynn Lake, Manitoba.
