JOB POSTING – PROJECT ENGINEER

Objective Engineering Inc. is an entrepreneurial engineering firm that has redefined engineering with simplification.We thrive on unique structural engineering projects and challenges in the industrial, manufacturing and construction fields with specializations in fall protection, structural steel connections, structural design & build, mobile cranes, and construction equipment.We provide FEA, 2D and 3D CADD services. Centrally located, we service customers primarily throughout South Western Ontario and the Toronto area. We do have projects in other provinces and provide Canadian reviews for US firms.

We are currently looking for aProject Engineerwho will perform structural design and oversee the implementation of structural engineering projects by conceptualizing and creating solutions based on project requirements and company standards.You will help develop and grow the Design/Build and New Construction Department while creating value for the client in respect to the design and execution of their projects while acting as a technical liaison.Within the Company, you will develop, guide and educate junior engineers and drafting department and develop a deep understanding of the company values, services, goals and strategies.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Make decisions independently in regards to projects and engineering.
• Leadership abilities.
• Valid Ontario G Driver's license with own vehicle
• Experience with preparing CADD drawings in AutoCAD; SolidWorks and FEA experience preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills in English
• Working knowledge of worksite safety.
• B.Sc. in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Understanding of construction and fabrication methods.
• Proven ability of organization
• Exercise sound engineering practices & principles.
• Registered P. Eng. with Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
• Willingness to have a flexible schedule to meet client needs.
• In depth knowledge of the OBC, Ontario Construction and Industrial Regulations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the area of structural engineering.
