Your responsibilities
  • Develop Single Line drawings, AC/DC schematics, elementary wiring diagrams, Bill of Materials for MV,LV Switchgears and Retrofit solutions.
  • Protection and Metering equipment selection for Electrical Single Line Diagram.
  • Travel to site for electrical network survey and commissioning activities.
  • Assists customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables.
  • Produce protective relay program according to protection philosophy and power systems studies.
  • Planning, scheduling, and estimating (Engineering and Construction).
  • Lead communication pertaining to assigned projects.
  • Perform Power systems studies such as short-circuit, load flow, coordination, arc flash, cable ampacity, Power Quality and harmonics studies.
  • Provide technical solutions to customers that may involve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, solutions relating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency from design stage to completion.
Your background
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, particularly in modeling and simulations of power systems, and writing reports and Power system solution consulting experience involving equipment upgrades including Knowledge of LV and MV switchgears and apparatus.
  • P. Eng. designation is required for this role.
  • Knowledge of: Power System Analysis software (ETAP, SKM and Easypower), AutoCad Design Suite and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of electrical design standards (CSA, IEEE, ANSI/IEC) and provincial codes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Electric Power Engineering program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. French skills will be considered as an asset.
