Project Coordinator - Cowichan Hospital

About The Position

Currently, we are looking for a dedicated Project Coordinator to join our Major Projects team working in Duncan, BC on the Cowichan Hospital Project.

The Project Coordinator will assist our Project Managers with billing, document control, permits, manuals, submittals, procurement requests & any other duties to help with project efficiency and job organization. This role will require you to work onsite.

For the right individual there is potential for this role to develop into a Junior Project Manager position.

Project Coordinator Job Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate major project material lead times and purchasing process from budget phase through receipt
• Assist with creating and measuring production target estimates
• Review and Summarize data received.
• Manage documentation for time and material billings
• Assist with project site and office binders/files to ensure the most current information is always available
• Assist with the QA/QC function as required
• Track order shipments and backorders, pursue supplier updates for material production and projected deliveries
• Assist with preparation of O&M manuals
• Help with material supply tenders, completing counts and distributing Bills of Materials and specifications.
• Review project construction schedules and summarize changes

Project Coordinator Experience And Skills

• Electrical Engineering Degree or construction TQ, also considered an asset
• Ability to read electrical and/or construction drawings, an asset
• Experience in project coordination, administration or office related position within the construction or related field
• Highly organized and high attention to detail
• High proficiency in MS Office. Experience with AutoCAD, Accubid, MS Project, are an asset
• Must be team player with good interpersonal and English communication skills
• Experience managing document control, file management, scheduling, data entry, minute taking, etc.
