Job Title- Project Control Officer III
Location – CAN, Quebec - Remote
Description:
As the Global PCO (Project Control Officer), you will be the lead PCO in Global Procurement’s ongoing digital transformation and large end-to-end procurement software implementation (Procure-to-Pay). Across ~20 workstreams in the project, you will work with various global stakeholders (primarily in North America and Asia), including Procurement leadership, project leadership, workstream leads, business & technical SMEs, project participants, internal partners (IT, Finance, etc.), vendor partners, and others to plan, track, manage and report on various project activities. In partnership with project leadership, your ultimate measure of success will be the successful delivery of this project on scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Key Accountabilities:
• Assist Global Program Lead & Global Project Manager in all stages of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, controlling, closing) + all phases of the project (Vision, Design, Construct, Deploy, Technical Go-Live, Pilot, Production Rollout, Change & Comms, Training, Supplier & Catalog Enablement, etc.) • Partner with project leadership & our implementation partner to maintain the Global MS Project Plan • Work with global Workstream Leads & PMs from other teams to plan & track meetings, work, decisions, etc. across all workstreams • Coordinate alignment between the Global MS Project Plan & the various workstream sub-plans (both Functional & Technical) • Track and report action items & deliverables; escalate as needed • Monitor project execution and take proactive actions to resolve issues & keep project on schedule • Manage project artefacts as needed (e.g.: RAID log, Resource Plan, etc.) • Assist project leadership in managing Change Request process • Assist project leadership in maintaining project documentation & file repository (Sharepoint) • Schedule various project meetings across global timezones (mainly ET & HKT) • Lead or assist in various types of project reporting • Assist in onboarding new project team members as needed • Build strong relationships and credibility with stakeholders inside & outside the project • Act as a champion / ambassador for the project • Support other project activities as required
Qualifications:
- • 3+ years as a PCO, Project Coordinator, Project Assistant or similar • 3+ years using MS Project + experience with MS Sharepoint, Excel, PPT • 3+ years managing project plans + preparing project reporting • Superior planning and organization skills; can comfortably manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines • Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including written, verbal and presentations • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Experience in global projects and/or large-scale software implementations an asset • Experience working with SI (Systems Implementation) partners an asset • Experience in Financial Services, Procurement, and/or Ivalua or similar P2P platforms an asset • Experience with Agile methodology an asset • Formal accreditation in project management or working towards it an asset
