Job Description

The Faculty of Medicine of Université Laval and the Regenerative Medicine Division of theResearch Center of CHU de Quebec-Université Laval, Quebec, Canadainviteapplications for the position of research professor starting in July 2024. Candidates having a PhD (or combined MD-PhD) degree in human regenerative medicine (tissue engineering/stem cells or related fields) and whose research interests complement those of the scientists currently working in theRegenerative MedicineDivisionare strongly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates are expected to establish an independent research program in one of the following research areas:ocular,vascular or musculoskeletal, or related fields of research such as matrix biology or omics techniques.While fluency in French is not absolutely necessary, the successful candidate will be expected to teach (on a sporadic basis) at the oldest and largest French-speaking university in North America.


The candidate should have: 1) obtained a PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, physiology, medicine); 2) at least 2 years of experience as a post-doctoral fellow or equivalent; 3) demonstrated creativity and scientific productivity; and 4) expressed the desire and the ability to integrate into a collaborative environment that respects our values of equity, diversity and inclusion.
