Job Description

Position Title: Senior Pricing Analyst

Team: Finance

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia or Ottawa, Ontario



Reporting directly to the Manager, Pricing, the Senior Pricing Analyst is responsible for providing pricing support for large proposals, the determination of anticipated labour and overhead rates, and possible bid strategies.


As a Senior Pricing Analyst your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Review requests for proposals to identify and assist the proposal team in developing responses

(financial focus)

• Work with internal organizations to determine anticipated labour and overhead rates, material

requirements, equipment costs, and possible bid strategies

• Analyze estimates against previous cost experience and recommend adjustments

• Involvement in bids and proposals including cost/price model development, cash flow analyses, pricing cost narrative, price strategy, risk assessment, business case analysis, and preparation/presentation of management briefings

• Interact with Program Management on program cost issues and required details and measure Target Costs against Proposal Costs


What you require to be successful in the role:

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Finance from a recognized post-secondary institution or

equivalent years of experience.

• A minimum of 7-10 years directly related experience, preferably in a government contracting

environment

• Familiarity with Canadian and United States contract cost principles would be considered an asset

• Experience with Public Service Procurement Canada rate and contract cost audits is an asset

• Proficiency with ProPricer and/or Deltek CostPoint is an asset

• Advanced proficiency in various computer software packages (Excel, Word, Access)

• Superior problem-solving, critical thinking, analysis, interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills are required
