Power BI Report Developer, Client Insights & Analytics - (8 Month Contract)

Purpose

Contributes to the overall success of the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) business globally by developing interactive reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder. These reports ensure informed data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate will be familiar with banking products in the wholesale banking industry.

The candidate will be able to work in both a team environment and operate independently to help drive the re-development of the reporting portfolio. They would have highly developed capabilities in data visualization and reporting in Power BI. Experience in Power Automate and Tableau would be preferred as well.

The role requires individual to take in reporting requirements, assess functionality, focus on user experience and analyze data for consistency. Individual should be able to quickly familiarize themselves with data models and execute on report building.

Accountabilities

• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills as the individual will be managing the development of several reports concurrently.
• Develop optimal data models using a combination of SQL, Dataflow and Datasets that utilize the strengths of the Power platform and should result in a seamless user experience.
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Strong Business and Technical Acumen as related to report development:
• Utilize strengths of Power Query and DAX to create complex in-report columns, measures and calculations that provide useful insight to the GBM portfolio.
• Understand reporting requirements and translate the required data into meaningful visualizations.
• Adept at testing the report after development to ensure portfolio KPIs are accurate.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in front office business lines, GBM COO and Technology to ensure report development success.
• The role requires communicating with internal stakeholders that spans across front office, GBM COO and technology teams.
• Eye for report and dashboard design that enhances user interaction and overall user experience.
• Contribute to a high-performance environment and fosters an inclusive work environment that supports the vison/values/business strategy for the team.
• Implement low level security on data and apply security layers on data models

Is this the right role for you?

• Bachelor of Computer Science or Information System or Finance
• Experience in report and dashboard development
• Responsible for the end-to-end report development for key business line reports.
• Expert capabilities in DAX, Power Query and SQL
• 3+ years of experience in similar role
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Experience with developing custom Power BI visualizations
• Experience in developing reports on Power BI Desktop and Report Builder
• Experience managing internal relationships with business desks and senior stakeholders
