Inviting applications for the role of Reporting Analyst and Reporting SME (Power BI or Tableau)

In this role, you will be responsible understanding the business requirement of Banking and Capital Market domain and understand the required data element which is required to create Dashboard and Reports.

• Conducting and participating in meetings with the Business owners, Product Owners, and Product sponsors in order to understand what they are looking for, as a part of the current project.
• Developing and whiteboarding wireframes, beta dashboards and presenting them to the business teams to see if they meet their requirements.
• Testing the reports for formatting and data correctness and publishing the workbooks on the Power BI server for scheduled refreshes.
• Defining access control levels for different types of users and communicating the requirements to the Power BI Server team to apply the same to the workbooks.
• Perform the required data wrangling before connecting to the data source from the Power BI.
• Analyze the data sources, be it a RDBMS or a XLSX file or a CSV file.
• Interpreting the KPI definitions, and dashboard needs by sympathizing with the business team.
• Define new KPIs and get approvals from the business team to make sure the new ones make business sense.
• Research ways to help the report users to see the bigger picture at a single glance and insert the ability to drill through the different levels of dimensions.
• Develop individual reports and design the final dashboard.
• Documenting the dashboard needs, the critical success factors of the business, related KPIs and measures in the dataset, and the designs.

1. Develop custom reporting dashboards, reports and scorecards mainly focusing on Power BI and its components.

2. Be an expert in the programming systems used. Each application could source from multiple sources, including Oracle databases, SQL Server, Excel, flat files, and CSV. The integration of all of this data while applying the appropriate business logic is the great value.

3. Candidate should be strong in Database knowledge and strong SQL knowledge.

4. This function is responsible for the Staples Power BI platform support across the enterprise. Responsibility for platform management including roadmaps, best practices, release management and design authority.

5. Assist our Business Partners to develop, maintain and support reports, dashboards, and scorecards using self-service BI tools such as Power BI and Alteryx

6. Provide ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions from stakeholder groups.

7. Gain knowledge of the multitude of databases utilized by the organization, from both a business and technical perspective

8. Bridge the gap between business and technology. Take a business thought and turn it into reality.

9. Tableau experience is good to have as there will be some work on tableau.

• Robust analytics experience.
• B. tech/MTech degree in computer science or a related field
