Power Bi Data Analyst

Recochem is hiring a Power BI data analyst, who will be reporting to the Director, New Applications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to all users of the Power BI platform
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for colleagues, as well as procedures for end users.
• Deploy reports and applications through the Power BI service, managing security and access requirements with
• Create and maintain fully automated Power BI models by establishing relationships and creating highperformance
• Help create the platform, tools and APIs necessary to enable other teams to work with data
• Design and maintain Power Query transformation paths, and constantly improve those already created.
• Efficiently handle vast amounts of data from multiple sources and destinations, both in batch processing and realtime
• Translate business needs into easily understandable reports and visualizations.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the various processes
• Delivery
• DAX expressions.
• Be willing to resolve issues related to the Power BI platform, as they arise, in collaboration with the Power BI IT team.
• Azure Active Directory groups.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a Power BI developer or data analyst position:

1. Writing user stories / use cases, data modeling, and developing functional specifications or equivalent experience.
2. Working with Microsoft Azure BI solutions (Data Factory, Power BI, Data Lake, etc), SSIS / SSRS or other equivalent technologies.

• Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task. Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
• Ability to create reports with large data sets as well as visualization tables for Business Intelligence needs.
• Proactivity, autonomy, minimal supervision required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, both orally and in writing.
• Experience with modern software development techniques and methodologies: DevOps, Agile, etc.
• Analytical, innovative, and creative mind. Ability to promote own ideas.
• Up-to-date with the latest technology trends and have a strong desire to constantly learn
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 (asset)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or equivalent.
• Solid experience in data modeling on Power BI and DAX, M and SQL Server languages.
