Power Bi Consultant Jobs

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Power BI Consultant for a 12- month contract role with our Crown Corporation client in Ottawa, ON.

The Power BI Consultant will have the following responsibilities:

• Educating stakeholders on the role of business intelligence.
• Identifying trends and areas for BI analysis.
• Overseeing BI projects under your control from start to finish.
• Producing insightful presentations to assist business managers and executives.
• Working with data analysts to prepare reports for decision-makers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
• Manage and support the Project Management systems, project management processes and reports based on Project Management Standards
• Develop, design, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet business requirements.
• Gather and analyze data from various sources, transforming raw data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
• Locating, reviewing, and validating data.
• Meeting with internal and external stakeholders to generate insight into decision-making.
• Supports and improves existing BI reports
• Conduct regular testing and troubleshooting of Power BI solutions to identify and resolve any issues or bugs.
• Providing feedback and assistance to other employees based on your research.
• Utilizing data analytics tools and visualization platforms.

The Power BI Consultant must meet the following mandatory requirements:

• A working understanding or mastery of automation, machine learning, and database management.
• A degree in data analytics, computer science, economics, or finance.
• 3-5 years’ experience working with Power BI in development environment
• A business-savvy approach to data and its uses for companies.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a passion for big data.
• Proficiency in data science, data mining, business intelligence tools, data processing frameworks, and report writing.
• Able to leverage different technologies, such as SQL and data visualization platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Impeccable presentation abilities and business acumen.
• Problem-solving mindset and bigger-picture view of information.
• 5 years of experience in a data-related or business intelligence position.
