Carmen’s Banquet Centre is an elegant venue that has served as a Hamilton landmark for over 35 years. Carmen’s Banquet Centre creates a grand, elegant and timeless setting for any event. We are seeking a confident, driven individual to join our team as a Porter! Our Porters play an integral part in making the client’s vision come to life by transforming the event spaces. We currently have part-time opportunities available for team members with evening and daytime availability, both mid-week and on weekends.

OUR PORTERS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Ensure the client’s ideas come to life, by setting up each event space to reflect their vision
• Exercise good judgment and demonstrate leadership abilities
• Set up tables and chairs based on the number of guests attending the event
• Make a difference in the lives of each and every one of our guests by directly contributing to their extraordinary experiences
• Other duties as assigned
• Transporting set up items to event locations
• Drive positive change in the organization
• Prepare event spaces by moving, arranging and setting up furniture as per event contact
• Tear down of tables, chairs and décor after event commences

Position Requirements

• Driver’s license an asset for off-premise events
• Forklift experience an asset
• Ability to work on a variable schedule including mornings, nights, and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Arial Platform experience an asset
