Pick Station Operator

Shifts

Sun-Thurs 1pm - 9pm

Sun-Thurs 9pm - 5am

Position Summary

Retrieve items from tote storage and send them to the palletizing station.

Essential Functions

• Scan customer items stored in a tote with a handheld scanner
• Clear tote from pick station and redirect to automated storage area on HMI
• Place labeled item on take away conveyor for palletizing on lower level
• Manually retrieve customer items ranging in weight from tote
• Adhere to the mission, cornerstone values, and applicable practices of the organization.
• Follow food safety requirements and good manufacturing practices as prescribed in the Gordon Food Service Food Safety
• Follow all safe operating procedures and safety regulations as per the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Affix case labels to items retrieved from tote
• Complete data validation on HMI screen and verify that the right item and quantity is in tote

• Other duties assigned as required.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to work in a multi temporal facility with routine exposure at any given time:
• Relevant experience is preferred

○ Grocery environment (Ambient)

○ Cooler environment (1 - 2 degrees C).

○ Freezer environment (-18 degrees C)

• Repetitive lifting, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
• Ability to work under pressure with a high attention to detail.
• Frequent exposure to moderate noise levels.
