Compression Station Operator Jobs

We support a hybrid work environment consisting of flexible remote and in-person collaboration.

Specify and procure critical parts and manage key supply chain efforts.

Support commissioning of new equipment to verify quality control and that each unit meets all functional requirements.

5+ years’ experience in natural gas compression (CNG), process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation design and engineering of equipment.

Experience with compressor package design, piping, electrical and control systems is an asset.

Aptitude and desire for hands-on work combined with strong analytical skills.

Maintain CMMS (Computer Management Maintenance System) on a continuous basis

Establishes changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments

The best suited candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years field service compressor experience

Natural Gas Compression and additional OEM and industry training beneficial in lieu of experience

Basic skills in the use of computer-based programs such as MS 365

Must have strong communication skills

Intermediate to advanced level keyboard and computer skills

Licensing requirements are subject to province and/or local laws and regulations and will be required prior to employment.

Display exceptional customer service and communication skills

Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

Technical awareness and must be able to write reports

Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

Experience operating small wheel loaders and other related equipment is required

Experience working within a transfer station, aggregate facility, soil blending remediation environment or with biosolids is considered an asset

Experience with routine maintenance operations

Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Follow food safety requirements and good manufacturing practices as prescribed in the Gordon Food Service Food Safety

Scan customer items stored in a tote with a handheld scanner

Manually retrieve customer items ranging in weight from tote

Affix case labels to items retrieved from tote

Complete data validation on HMI screen and verify that the right item and quantity is in tote
