A national pharmacy in Winnipeg is looking for Pharmacy Assistants to join their team during their busy season. In this role, you will have the chance to:

• Add a well-respected pharmacy employer to your CV!
• Work steady hours, approximately 8 am-4 pm weekdays (no weekends or rotating shifts!)
• Gain non-retail pharmacy experience
• Extend your contract, based on performance!
• Receive training from experienced pharmacy professionals

This contract starts as soon as possible and will run for one to two months (dependent upon business needs) - if you do well in the role, there is a strong likelihood your contract will be extended.
This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented and is keen on working in a non-patient-facing role. We are looking for an individual who lives in or can easily commute to the Winnipeg area.

Responsibilities
What YOU will be doing as a Pharmacy Assistant:

• Communicating in-person and over the phone with pharmacy staff members
• Picking and labelling medications for pharmacy technicians
• Filling prescriptions in an office environment
• Prepare and print shipping waybills, ensuring 100% accuracy of order and shipment information
• Enter prescriptions into Kroll software

Qualifications
What YOU bring to the role of Pharmacy Assistant:

• Strong interest in learning all there is know about the cutting edge of pharmacy practice!
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a large team
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in pharmacy - community pharmacy, hospital or non-retail experience is welcome!
• Excellent attention to detail, able to spot and fix errors
• Able to lift up to 10lbs
• Fast learner, comfortable with on-the-job training
• Comfortable walking and being on your feet for much of the day
• Great communications skills
