Pharmacy Practice Assistant Jobs

Graduate of a recognized pharmacy technician/technology program (accredited program preferred). Candidates with commensurate experience and education will be considered

Basic typing skills or computer/keyboard experience; skills in Microsoft Office Suite

Two years experience as a hospital pharmacy technician/pharmacy practice assistant, an asset

Knowledge of sterile technique and special precautions used with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile admixtures are an asset

Experience in unit dose drug distribution systems, automation technology, decentralized medication dispensing cabinets, an asset

Knowledge of medical terminology, inventory control and record keeping

Strong computer proficiency in the use of MS Office, document management and database software.

5+ years of experience as a litigation practice assistant/secretary – employment litigation experience is a plus.

Must have in-depth knowledge of federal and local rules.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Superior organizational skills including filing, calendaring, and proofreading.

Must have strong proficiency e-filing in state and federal courts.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teraview and other systems implemented by the firm. iManage experience an asset.

Perform administrative activities related to lawyer's professional memberships, certifications and Law Society of Ontario requirements

As required, manage calendars, ensuring they are up to date and reminding lawyers of meetings etc. on a daily basis

Liaise with lawyer, client and Finance department to collect on overdue accounts

5 – 10 years of strong Legal experience within Corporate and Commercial Real Estate

Excellent communication, organizational and team skills

Ability to work flexible hours to ensure vaccine courier deliveries are coordinated and managed to meet service requirements

Current CPR certification is required

Knowledge of pharmaceutical practices to ensure quality of the product throughout inventory supply chain, i.e. cold chain

Excellent assessment skills and attention to detail is required to review cold chain breaches and implement required follow up actions.
