Personal Support Worker Return of Service (PSW ROS) Grant up to $5,000 for a 6-month commitment
- Assisting with daily living activities, such as personal care (rise and retire), assistance with household tasks, respite care, medication assistance, special functions
- Contributing as a valued member of the interdisciplinary care team
- Paid orientation and hands-on mentoring from experienced, caring staff
- PAID MILEAGE at 0.45 per/km

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Opportunities to volunteer in countries with limited access to healthcare services
- Experience working with patients with significant and complex care needs such as dementia and mental health
- A strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of their patients
- Preparing nutritious, varied and economical meals and snacks, including special diets, as determined by the care plan, using proper food preparation, storage, and hygiene practices
- Community Support Worker (e.g.) Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program) education, with preference given to those with a PSW certificate and/or equivalency
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Promoting a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety
- Providing cognitive, social and/or emotional support to the patient
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle for which you are insured
- Providing patient status reports and participate in patient/family care planning meetings
- Hands on mentoring and leadership support
- A robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family members.
- 77 hours bi-weekly pay
- A special $500 to $750 bonus for signing with CarePartners
