Your new role

As the Permits Manager you will be responsible for the department that is responsible for the timely and accurate submission of all building permits. As well for the establishment, execution of the foundation starts program and execution of the community completion deliverables across all projects.

In addition you will be responsible for permit package submission and permit receipt on time, cut sheets and ensuring foundation and frost protection starts for all sites, develop and manage budgets as well. You will work with site people to communicate expectations and provide input to all contracts including excavation, foundation, UG plumbing, UG electrical, street sweeping, snow clearing and driveway contracting tenders.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this new position you should have post secondary education ideally related to Construction Engineering Technician, Civil Engineering Technology, or similar. At least 5-7 years of progressive and related experience in Residential, tract building construction in a similar role. You should have a very strong understanding of the permitting process and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be an experienced people manager.

You should also have a clean driving record as well as a reliable vehicle as you will be visiting sites regularly.
