Job Description
Canadian Tire Vancouver Operations (VanOps) team members working with Vancouver Port terminals and local transloads to plan and secure reservations to dray over 50,000 FEU annually through the Vancouver gateway. Working with ocean lines to return Empties to local off dock / port terminal and ensure transload facilities are running efficiently and free of congestion. We support the movement of CN domestic moves from transload to rail head and maintain empty pools at two Vancouver transloads. During peak volume this movement must be monitored and maintained 24/7 as transloads are set at full production.


What You’ll Do


  • Working with 4 major Vancouver port terminals and 4 Cantire transloads, plan and execute
  • Work with an experienced and innovative group of Planners and dispatchers
  • Planning and securing reservations to ensure MT Pool is monitored and maintained to support transload planned production.
  • Analyze planning and movement to gain efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Moving over 50,000 FEU smoothly and efficiently through the Vancouver gateway
  • Daily dray to transloads with priority on level loaded dray and yard fluidity.
  • Work with 2 Cantire transloads and CN Rail to move domestic CDAU from transload to Rail head


What You Bring


  • Med to high level excel skills
  • Experience in Dispatch / Planning preferred but willing to train the right candidate
  • Team player dedicated to offering the best of their talent to support a Day / Night operation
  • Experience with Vancouver port terminal systems, CN / CP Rail yard and systems
  • Willing to work flexible hours to support our operation which runs from 0500 – 2400 6 days a week
  • Weekend hours will be required.
