Operations Leader (Manager) Jobs

The Operations Leader is key member of the Leadership Team, responsible for high level management of the business unit's operations capacity planning and resources. In this role, you will work closely with the GM, establishing annual budgets and achieving Lean Scorecard targets. You will also provide coaching and support to Team Leaders and Maintenance team members.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

• Serve as a member of the Business Unit’s Leadership Team and play a key role in the achievement of the Company’s Vision and Strategy within the business unit
• Responsible for aspects of the business unit’s operational performance results, including the achievement of Lean Scorecard targets, materials plan targets and other operational scorecard initiatives
• Work with the GM on establishing an annual manufacturing budget, including the capital equipment budget
• Support business unit growth while continuing to build and lead a strong team of people with cross-functional responsibilities
• Responsible for the business unit’s operations capacity planning and resources
• Coach team members and continue to support the Creation Core Values while developing a strong culture
• Support other areas of the company with respect to joint initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of lean, continuous improvement, quality and related topics, with relevant work experience
• Entrepreneurial, innovative, flexible team player with a good business acumen, high degree of personal initiative, strong leadership and people skills and effective presentation abilities
• Related post-secondary business education degree or equivalent is preferred
• Materials background would be an asset
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be driven by high degree of integrity and professional standards
• Experience in the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry or related industry is required

• Capable of accepting and completing work assignments with minimal supervision in a highly motivated manner, fast paced and high-pressure situations

Working Conditions

• The incumbent is required to wear safety clothing and gears while working in safety sensitive areas. Otherwise, office/business casual attire is appropriate
• Professional appearance and presentation.
• The working environment is generally clean; however, the incumbent may be exposed to occasionally dust.
