This Is What You Will Do
The New Products Planning Manager will assess the Canadian commercialisation opportunity of pipeline products and those not assigned to a brand team. This role will also lead presentation of commercialisation recommendations to the local leadership team and development of commercialisation strategy in collaboration with key cross functional partners. They will be responsible for setting up launch planning for any new product being brought to market.
You Will Be Responsible For

• Commission market research to validate and fully understand the market context, opinion leaders and product perception as appropriate
• Review Alexion pipeline and prioritise assessment of commercial potential for products in Canada
• As part of commercial potential assessment, analysing product lifecycle opportunities across various patient segments to enable strategic evaluation with leadership team.
• Support the commercial team with project management when necessary
• Ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance are maintained according to the Alexion and industry codes, SOPs, and work practices
• Understand pipeline products future standard of care (what products are used and in which order) for specific therapy class, to allow successful generation of Target Product Profile (TPP).
• Undertake early product launch planning once agreement to launch in Canada has been made
• Contribute to long-range financial planning forecasts and new product life cycle forecasts for early products.
• Consolidate and coordinate the Canadian insights and requirements on the pipeline product portfolio in collaboration with the Medical, Access, Regulatory and other functions as required.
• Monitor and track launch planning within Smartsheets and other project management tools.
• Provide handover on launch planning to brand teams, ideally at month -12 months prior to estimated Canadian launch
• Lead the Canadian new products planning team, SSOT and Competition database
• Provide the Canadian Leadership Team with an overview of the future portfolio and assessment of the associated strategic and operational implications.

You Will Need To Have

• Knowledge of Canada’s country specific, market access and regulatory environment
• Must demonstrate an energy and enthusiasm which brings a positive approach to challenge and foster the idea that everything is possible
• Experienced in leading market research projects
• Min of 5 years’ experience in product and project management for a pharmaceutical or biotech company
• Good understanding of the pCPA and how this impacts the business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of effectiveness as a cross-functional team player and project leader who gets results
• Strong IT skills with good knowledge of Smartsheet, Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Degree in life science and/or business / marketing
• Experience collating information from numerous sources about market dynamics in order to understand commercialization potential
• Fluent in English spoken and written
• Proven track record in leading complex projects
• Requires individuals with excellent project management, organization skills, good attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility

We Would Prefer For You To Have

• Fluency in French an asset
• Agile Project Management methodology qualifications desirable
• Experience and knowledge in rare disease conditions
