What We Need

Mergers & Acquisitions Lawyer

• Ability to multitask, work independently, interface directly with clients, and complete time-sensitive work product quickly.
• Perfectly bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and function independently without extensive supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal business clients, support staff, external resources, and other collaborators.
• Experience counseling on corporate governance matters related to M&A.
• Between 3-7 years of experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and other documents relating to public and private M&A transactions and joint ventures.
• Law firm and/or an in-house department experience at a highly acquisitive company preferred.
• Available to start ASAP.
• Experience managing outside counsel and working collaboratively across multiple corporate functions.
• Admitted and in good standing with a Law Society in Canada.
• Experience conducting and managing M&A due diligence.
