Job Description

Internship: M&A Analyst


[This post is only relevant for students enrolled in an under-graduate or post-graduate business-related program such as MBA, CFA etc who are open to an unpaid internship for minimum 3 months (20 hours/week) and keen to get hands-on real-world work experience with an investment firm]


Nova Vida Capital is a Toronto-based investment vehicle that is on the look-out for its second acquisition in Canada.


We are looking for a dynamic intern (unpaid) to assist with outreach to potential acquisition opportunities on a part-time basis.


Key Responsibilities:

- Create leads through email campaigns, outbound calling and referrals

- Identify stable & healthy businesses that meet acquisition criteria

- Maintain robust deal pipeline which should be updated on a regular basis

- Review financials & confidential information of potential acquisitions

- Participate in phone calls with business owners

- Develop investment theses for potential acquisitions


Qualifications:

- Applicant should be enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters program

- Strong analytical, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint skills

- Ability to work independently, think creatively & find solutions

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to give 20 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months
