Job Description
About The Opportunity


We have the good fortune to be working with a small, highly collaborative national association for a Membership Assistant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role would support all aspects of membership services ranging from membership recruitment, renewal and retention. The position also provides occasional assistance to the Executive Director, Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.


Duties include but are not limited to:


  • Assist the Executive Director or other members of the leadership team as required
  • Respond to inquiries from the general public or organization members
  • Own the content within the membership database; updating member profiles, entering new members and accepting payments
  • Attend the associations’ events to assist with event management and troubleshooting
  • Generate and maintain any changes to professional standing that might affect membership
  • Liaise with member benefits partners
  • Prepare membership reporting to inform the senior leadership team
  • Participate in the annual membership renewal campaign and recruitment drive
About You


The successful candidate will have the following:


  • Knowledge of or experience with a CRM/database
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability build positive stakeholder relations
  • Ability to work independently
  • Exposure to accounting functions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Post secondary education in administration would be considered an asset
  • Experience in membership, customer service or administration
About the Job


This is a full time permanent position offering a competitive salary of $40,000 to $45,000 with an comprehensive benefits package, a convenient downtown location and an opportunity to work as part of a dynamic, tight knit team.
