This role will be accountable for the design and ongoing transformation of the current network to an Omni-channel supply chain model. The Manager will leverage Walmart’s proven, global best practices and adopt best in class industry standards.

What you'll do...

1. Create the long-term aspirational view of the OMNI network design and capacity models for Walmart. Provide a strategy that details where, when, and how the network should be designed to support a 5-year forecast of our Omnichannel business volumes, Brick & Mortar and eCommerce volumes (Fulfilled by FC and Fulfilled by store). To optimize the network, he will have to master existing (ex. Llamsoft) or newly designed tools.

2. Analyze alternatives to capital investment and assess impact to existing supply chain stakeholders (including DC Operations and Transportation). Assess key metrics such as total volume throughput, average case value, CPH, transportation costs, DC capacities and impacts due to new merchandising and flow strategies.

3. Develop a brand new, dynamic network capacity model which clearly shows network impacts and recommends the location and year of opening of new/expansion/relocation of Distribution Centers & Fulfillment Centers, balancing cost and service level expectations.

4. Develop the Distribution Centers inventory plan for the annual budget along with the 5 Year Plan, working closely with Logistics, eCommerce, Replenishment, Merchandizing, and Finance teams. Analyze dollar inventory budgets by Department, modeling a conversion from dollars into space requirements for each logistics Distribution Centre. Analyzes DC space constraints in terms of items and reserves slots and develops engineering fit tests to validate network capacity with a 1+ year out lens.

5. Develop the Distribution Centre annual volume forecast which drives the Logistics annual operating budget warehouse sales ($500+ million) forecast, providing throughput figures at each network facility by month. Coordinate with our outsourced service providers, Engineering and Finance teams to consolidate key variables and to incorporate new merchandising and flow strategies. Define variables such as seasonality and volume by merchandize type at DC, FC, and store level. Create and implement the volume forecast.

6. Support the development of business cases and executive presentations for final approval of identified Canadian Logistics Infrastructure project(s). Develop analyses and heuristic models that Support the decision-making and business case showing total change impact to network.

7. Create heuristic and advanced dynamic models that emulate DC, FC capacities from all variables including throughput, storage and yard requirements.

8. Provide recommendations to E2E and management based on outcome of models and recommend creative solutions for capacity breaches. Support and drive approved recommendations to implementation.
