Manager, Purchasing

Fantastic opportunity for a well-rounded and senior-level Procurement professional who is looking for career development with a large, well-established, and stable organization based in Langley.


Who- the Company: SWIM is proud to represent this values-based organization with a friendly and supportive corporate culture. This business has been in operation for many years and is well-known throughout Langley and beyond.


What- the Role: We are seeking a new Manager, Purchasing who will oversee all procurement for multiple operating sites. The Manager will be responsible for requesting quotes (for services, supplies, and equipment), reviewing proposals and supply agreements, and building relationships with key suppliers to build and maintain relationships.

The Manager will take a lead role in ensuring timely contract and amendment reviews, contract execution, recommending strategies to maximize efficiency and cost savings, and helping with high-value and/or high-profile projects pertaining to purchasing and logistics.


Who- the Candidate:

•University degree in a relevant area is highly preferred. Supply Chain Management Association of Canada (S.C.M.P.) designation is highly preferred (and the organization will financial support the Manager if they are still pursuing their SCMP).

•At least 5 years recent and relevant experience in procurement/purchasing/supply chain.

•Knowledge of trade agreements

•Experience with open RFPs.

Where:The Manager will be based in a corporate office in the heart of Langley.

How Much:Competitive base salary commensurate with experience and skills.
