Purchasing Manager Jobs

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Manager to join an established construction marketplace business that has seen substantial growth recently. The Purchasing Manager will play a critical role in managing the procurement process for their company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, logistics, supply chain management, inventory control, vendor management, and purchase order fabrication. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Manage and motivate a team of procurement staff
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals and objectives
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure purchasing needs are met
• Develop and maintain vendor management programs
• Oversee logistics and supply chain management to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control procedures
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts and pricing

Skills

• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Commercial and financial awareness
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

This role is full time office based and due to the company office location you do need your own form of transport.
