The Role

Our mission at Cymax Group is to break down all barriers to make multi-channel commerce easy. As a Development Manager, you will help organize, build, and deliver solutions for our suite of applications that support our eCommerce enablement platform. You will combine your ability to lead and manage developers with deep technical experience to drive successful planning and delivery of projects. You enjoy collaborating with other teams and partnering closely with Product Managers, Designers, DevOps, and others to foster strong teamwork and shared success. You are also comfortable holding people accountable for their work and setting a high-quality bar in your team as we deliver world-class solutions for our customers.

Who You Are

• Hands-on experience in all complex phases of the software development lifecycle and cloud-based platforms.
• Bonus Points: Experience in e-commerce or logistics
• Experience with Test-Driven Development would be an asset.
• Excellent consultative communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
• Self-motivation and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience leading software development teams.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in Agile / SCRUM development.
• Willingness to learn and stay current with software development technologies.
• Experienced in web application development utilizing C# .NET, Entity Framework, SQL Server, and front-end frameworks like Angular, React or VueJS.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design patterns.
• Extensive experience with service-oriented architecture or micro service architecture.
• University degree in computer science or another relevant field of engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with the products.
• Work with team members to set goals and guide their path to achieving these goals. Provide mentorship and help them achieve their max potential.
• Support in solving the day-to-day bugs reported by internal teams.
• Participate in architecture, design, code review, and implementation of new product features.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of software developers to deliver products and features.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA and Operational Teams, Architects, Business Analysts, and other leaders.
• Work with Product to manage and prioritize the backlog. Be a champion for technical excellence.
• Develop a world-class team alongside a world-class product. You’ll participate in recruiting events and the hiring process while also working to level up your internal team and implementing new processes to develop your Engineering department.
