Job Summary


Reporting directly to Vitalité Health Network's Director of Research and Health Evaluation, the successful candidate plans, organizes, manages and controls all administrative, logistical and organizational processes related to the Network's activities in research (clinical and organizational) and health evaluation. Supports the director with the latter's administrative duties both within the Network's management and with external partners.


Helps the director position the sector as a key organizational player in supporting transformations related to the strategic plan. Participates in developing and implementing the operational plan for the sector. Represents the director in forums and meetings and manages staff.


Must have very good knowledge and understanding of the hospital sector and postsecondary educational institutions. Is responsible for leading major initiatives, including initiatives focused on improving the health system and supporting the Network's priority projects.


Requirements


  • Graduate degree in a field related to the position (science, health, management or another related field);
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Ability to work indenpendently and as a team menber;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Minimum of five years in a position involving increasing responsibilities within the university or hospital sector;
  • Ability to work based on results-oriented objectives;
  • Excellent knowledge of the health care sector and its administration and partners;
  • Critical sense, attention to detail and scientific rigour;
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks;
  • Ability to work on a multidisciplinary team and on a team practising co-management;
  • Expertise in writing and reviewing scientific articles;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Five to ten years' experience in health research in a university or hospital setting or research facility;
  • Proven skills in managing human, material and/or financial resources;
  • Good understanding of research and the major challenges associated with the health care system;
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, teamwork and change management skills;
  • Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities;
  • Motivating leadership and ability to inspire participation and engagement;
  • Ability to innovate;
  • Experience with different analytical methods;
  • In-depth understanding of the scientific method and research;
  • Management skills, including in planning, decision-making, and human resource and material management;
  • Adherence to professional ethics principales, to the network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
  • Good judgment and initiative;
  • Experience in human resource, material, and/or financial management;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;


Knowledge of spoken and written English and French is required.
