Job Title: Manager, Information Systems


Reporting To: CFO


Division/Department: Finance & Accounting


Location: Toronto

Job Background

Due to continued growth, we are our looking for a Manager, Information Systems who will become an integral part of Graywood’s team.


The Manager of Information Systems will provide strategic leadership in the management, planning, coordination, supervision and evaluation of information systems, technology, and infrastructure.


Principal Responsibilities


  • Develop, implement, communicate, and evaluate information technology policies and procedures.
  • Provide strategic planning, evaluation and coordination, implementation, and training of the information systems for the Company.
  • Make recommendations on system enhancement/integration to better serve the Company.
  • Overseeing relationship with IT managed services provider.
  • Effectively partner with all internal teams to understand needs, requirements, and critical issues requiring IT support
  • Communicate and maintain a professional approach and the ability to influence multiple audiences (e.g. vendors, peers, clients, management, etc.).
  • Assist with the development and execution of strategic plans, aimed at the optimization of the use of IS, IT and other office productivity tools in support of the Company’s business objectives.
  • Identify and implement innovative IT solutions to meet the ever-evolving needs of the business.
  • Take a hands-on approach to ensure continuous delivery and operation of information systems.


General


  • Carry out additional ad hoc duties as required
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety, quality and environment legislation and standards.


Requirements


Person Specification


Knowledge& Experience


  • At least 3 years of direct, management of an IT operation is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in managing IT functions and departments.


Skills


  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, exceptional ability to work well with others.
  • The ability, flexibility, and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, and energetic environment.
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies.


Qualifications


  • Undergraduate degree in IT, or related discipline.
