Title of position: Maintenance Training Instructor


Employment Type: Full-Time


Wage: $93,500-95,000

Primary Responsibilities
  • Classroom preparation to suit training requirement for in-person learning or remote training.
  • Develop a variety of approaches and training materials, as appropriate, in order to address different learning requirements aligned with the respective training delivery.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for technical courseware development / revision, as required for Level 1/2/3 Type courses:
  • Administering course examinations in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish effective methodology for testing students understanding of training material deliverables.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records of student enrollment and achievements and any other records as required.
  • Instructional duties, in accordance with established procedures, including:
  • Instruct clients in the safe, effective and efficient maintenance, operation, inspection, and/or troubleshooting of airframe and powerplant systems.
  • A320 (V2500, CFM56), A220-100/300 (PW1500G), A330-200/300/200F (RR Trent700, CF6), A340-500/600 (RR Trent500), A380 (EA GP7200), and B777-200LR/300ER/F ( GE90).
  • Engine Ground Run (EGR) Simulator Instructor ( A320, A330, A220-100/300, A330-200/300/200F, A340-500/600, A380, and B777-200LR/300ER/F)

  • Qualifications


    • Master of Science degree or equivalent.
    • Posses a valid Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence or equivalent.
    • Certified in Instructional Techniques for the Virtual Classroom.
    • Type approved on Boeing and\or Airbus commercial aircraft ( B777-200LR/300ER/F ( GE90), A320 (V2500, CFM56), A220-100/300 (PW1500G), A330-200/300/200F (RR Trent700, CF6), A340-500/600 (RR Trent500), and A380 (EA GP7200) for Airframe and Powerplant combinations as applicable and possess equivalent certifications, or equivalent experience.
    • Must be able & willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Minimum of 10 years aviation maintenance experience.
    • Qualified/experience in delivering Engine Ground Run Simulator training for B777-200LR/300ER/F ( GE90), A320 (V2500, CFM56), A220-100/300 (PW1500G), A330-200/300/200F (RR Trent700, CF6), A340-500/600 (RR Trent500), and A380 (EA GP7200) aircraft types.
    • Minimum of 3 years experience on aircraft of primary assigned program.
    • Computer & knowledge of internet applications (including Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).
    • Excellent presentation & interpersonal skills.

    • Experience with working within a multicultural fast paced environment.
    • Electrical and/or Avionics Systems knowledge and/or experience.
    • Able to direct student learning in a positive, supportive and fair learning environment
    • Able to effectively develop tangible goals and objectives for student development.
    • Experience with aviation regulations pertaining to aviation training (including foreign Regulatory Agencies; particularly EASA and/or Transport Canada) Courseware development or instructional design experience.
