Company Description
Our client is a well-established and successful Real Estate firm. They have a track record of success and stability, with staff members that have been dedicated to the company for over 10 years. This top tier property management company is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to be a part of their continued success and join their growing team in the Ottawa Region.
Compensation
$45,000 to $50,000 annually, plus additional perks.
Position Description
This is a residential portfolio, and as such someone with strong RESIDENTIAL high-rise maintenance experience is a definite asset, as the person would need to know how to interact with tenants and conduct in suite repairs. This is NOT a live-in Superintendent position, it is a live-out Maintenance position.
Should the property have commercial on the main floor of the high-rise, the Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for tenant services for the retail component, but this is a small portion of the Maintenance Technician’s day.
- Update logs on a daily basis
- Responsible for building maintenance and repairs
- Conduct property inspections in order to ensure property standards are maintained
- Minor drywall and painting repairs
- Ensuring properties adhere to fire codes, safety and WHMIS
- Ensuring tenant requests are fulfilled and dealt with in a timely manner.
- Ensuring all common areas are well maintained and debris free
- Ensuring all correspondence with tenants is dealt with in a professional and timely manner
- Respond to after-hours emergencies
- Minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs
Experience
- Have excellent problem-solving skills, able to think on your feet
- Have 2+ years residential maintenance experience
- Have strong communication skills, able to manage client relationships
Qualifications
Experience with building maintenance or construction renovations.
